Where Your Donation Goes
Your donation supports two things: the club and the community.
Club operations keep Dragonheart Vermont running — coaching, equipment, boats, software, staffing, and the infrastructure that makes it possible for 200+ members to train, compete, and paddle together on Lake Champlain.
Community giving flows through the Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival, which has raised over $1 million for Vermont cancer organizations since 2006. Festival proceeds go to pledge partners like Sail Beyond Cancer Vermont, the Cancer Patient Support Foundation, and UVM's Osher Center for Integrated Health — plus community infrastructure like the adaptive kayak launch at Burlington's Community Boat Launch.
Help a Breast Cancer Survivor Paddle
In 2025, Dragonheart Vermont launched a campaign to reduce the cost of membership for breast cancer survivors — from $300 to $100. The club set a goal of raising $12,000 to cover the difference, so that every survivor who wants to paddle can afford to.
