The Cancer Patient Support Foundation (CPSF) is an independent, nonprofit organization. We serve Vermont cancer patients and their families in a time of extraordinary need by providing financial assistance and support during diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. The Foundation’s vision is that all who face cancer can do so with dignity, confidence and serenity.

“Freedom and Unity” is a group of Town and City Clerks, our families, and friends from all over Vermont. Clerks take an oath to support the Constitution of the State of Vermont and of the United States. We are the record keepers at the heart of our communities, serving everyone equally, justly and respectfully. We come together under the leadership of Co-Captain Jessica Alexander, whose vision of “Freedom and Unity” came to her in a dream. Some of us on Freedom and Unity are cancer survivors,  and all of us are supporters. In the spirit of teamwork and community giving, we are honored to Ride the Dragon in support of breast cancer survivors, this year’s partner the McClure Miller Respite House, and so much more!

Hazelett Corporation designs, manufactures, installs, and services continuous casting equipment for customers in the metals industry in more than 27 countries.  We are located on the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain in Colchester, Vermont, and we have been a dedicated supporter of our local communities for more than 60 years.  Our team is made up of employees, family, and friends who have come together for a day of fun to proudly support a great cause.  Go Whitecaps!

Make Waves for Wellness

Our crew is comprised of 21 UVM MC employees and family members from a wide range of professional and clinical care areas across the hospital and from our satellite sites across the state.  Together our team members are energized and interested in participating in the Dragonheart event this year to support our patients and families living with a cancer diagnosis. Many on the team have been touched themselves by a cancer diagnosis and have used integrative therapies to heal and live healthy lives. Everyone on the team is excited to participate and support the McClure Miller Respite House.

National Life Group Life Savers

At National Life Group we are committed to our “Do Good, Be Good, Make Good” way of life. It really is a way of life that we live at the office, as well as in our personal lives. One of the many ways that we spread the GOOD is by giving back to our communities. What better way to Do Good than to give back through this wonderful yearly event hosted by Dragonheart Vermont. Orangetheory Fitness is a community of individuals who strive to improve themselves and help others achieve their goals. New to the Burlington area, we are so excited to be participating in the Dragonheart Vermont dragon boat festival. We will be participating with our employees, members, friends, and family to help raise awareness in the community.  We always strive for more life here at Orangetheory and we can’t wait to help empower others through this event!

Rhythm and Blues (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont)

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont’s Rhythm and Blues team will rock (but hopefully not roll!) through the waves to victory, paddling toward a healthier Vermont! Our goal is to make the competition sing the “blues” and help find a cure for breast cancer. Come race day, we’ll be paddlin’ with rhythm.

Back again for 2020, this compilation of friends, family, hockey and rugby connections, and the Soaring on team from 2017 will try again to take home a trophy!  Soaring On was created by the team captain after surviving ovarian cancer. From diagnosis to survivor Gabrielle appreciated the support of community and the resources needed for cancer survivors. Our team is completely funded by the fundraising done by each of the individual paddlers on our team. We look forward to seeing you on the water!

Stream Team UVM Medical Center Urology Department
Captain: Allison Moulton
This team is made up of the urology division at UVM fully supports integrative care.  We continue to do so, especially after one of our main urology nurses, Kathy, developed breast cancer and is currently undergoing therapy while  continuing to work and continuing to be part of our stream team! The support of integrative therapy has taken on a new meaning for us. We look forward to coming together to race for this cause. Thank you Dragonheart Vermont and the McClure Miller Respite House.

A group of randomly connected women. Spirited and High Energy, who have boundless imagination! We work hard to raise as much money as we can, each Dragonboat Season! Supporting our local Cancer Charity pledge partners in creative ways each year. Keep an eye out for upcoming fundraising events and to see what surprises we will to festival this year!

As past champions of this auspicious event (2018), we are putting the pressure on ourselves to take this one again.  As a company we adhere to a work hard, play hard attitude and are hopeful that this initiative brings us across the finish line again.  VIP is a solution provider to the US beverage industry and dedicated to helping the community through athletic charity events like the Dragon Boat Festival.  Paddle On!
