The 2021 Sisters at Heart Celebration, will be a day of virtual activities to celebrate and honor our unique community of cancer survivorship and dragon boating.

Each registered individual can look forward to a virtual celebration with other cancer survivors from around the world. Beginning August 7th you will all be able to enjoy the following:



Keynote Address

Dr. Don McKenzie: Sports Medicine Physician and Exercise Physiologist

In 1996, Dr. McKenzie launched the first ever breast cancer survivor dragon boat team, Abreast in a Boat, and the rest is history.

 
 

Paddling, Fitness, Nutrition Sessions

Dragon boat techniques with Montreal’s 22 Dragons

Fitness session for BCS dragon boat paddlers with Brett Haug, DHVT Head Coach and Personal Trainer

“From Farm to Table to Good Health” with Dr. Kim Dittus, Oncologist at The University of Vermont Medical Center, and Eugenie Doyle, Organic Farmer and Proprietor of Last Resort Farm

Flower Ceremony

On August 7, you will be able to join us for the live-streamed flower ceremony taking place during Dragonheart Vermont’s “pandemic modified” Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival.
