With more than a thousand racers, plus spectators and organizers, parking can be a challenge on Festival Day. Of course the best way to get to the festival is to walk, bike, skateboard, take the bus or car pool. We’re going to make this year’s festival as green as can be. You can help by leaving your car in the driveway!
A secure bike valet through Local Motion will be set on Waterfront Park for your convenience. Leave your car at home and enjoy our beautiful city on a bike!
Green Mountain Transit routes run throughout the city and surrounding areas to the downtown area. The Purple Line comes closest to Waterfront park, and is free between UVM Medical Center and the Echo Center circle at the waterfront. See the route here. Check out other Chittenden County bus routes here.
Parking in Burlington is FREE on Sundays, so take advantage of the on-street, lot, and garage parking in the downtown area. Use the interactive Burlington Parking Map to find a spot that works for you. Limited pay parking will be available at the waterfront parking lots–but these are first come, first serve and not under Dragonheart’s control. There is limited parking available in the field next to Foam Brewers on Lake Street and the waterfront park that will be manned by Festival Parking volunteers–but this usually fills up by 8:00 a.m.
We know someone on your team will need to drop off your tent, coolers, camp site decorations, and other gear. There will be a drop off location near Athlete’s Village. Just follow the drop-off signs down Lake Street to the drop off location and have your passengers unload the gear right near Athlete’s Village while you exit via Depot Street and go park your car.
There is limited handicapped parking available near the waterfront. Every effort will be made to enable access by an individual with a disability. To help us make accommodations, please contact us a minimum of three days prior to the event.
