2021 Race Plan


The Competition will be a one-day event on SATURDAY, August 7 – 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, following into our Sunset Party starting at 4:30 pm– 9:00 pm with the X-Rays.
Yes, that’s right, we said SATURDAY, now that’s a big change!

Team Composition

  • Each team will have a drummer and 10 paddlers (each set of paddlers will skip a seat). 
  • Two “safe” paddlers will share a seat (vaccinated or same family or “safe” workmate or “safe” friend).

Athlete’s Village

  • Athlete’s Village will have an area for each team 10ft x 20ft (2000 sq ft) separated by the next tent by 6 ft and 12 ft rows.
  • Entertainment will happen through the day in the Sunset Tent and in areas around Athlete’s Village.

Warm-up and Marshalling

  • Our famous Zumba dancers will still be leading warm ups before paddling on race day with safe distancing between paddlers.
  • Teams will enter the boat loading area one at a time, and enter their seats, one seat at a time.

Other Details

  • Masking requirements for attendees and spectators will following the latest State & City mandates.
  • Practice weekend will be Sat and Sun, July 24/25, teams will schedule their best time to attend for 1 ½ hours on one of the days. Current COVID safety protocols followed.
  • Cost will be the same per paddler, $85 with the opportunity to fundraise. Team entry will be $935. Team fees will cover shirts, hats, and medals for 11 participants.
