New in 2022!
Splash for Cash Dash
Our top three fundraising teams will race off for top honors and a trophy in our new race. Stick around after the Flower Ceremony to watch the splashin’ and the dashin!’

“Free Agent” Paddlers
Always wanted to try paddling, but don’t belong to a team? We consider you a Free Agent, no experience necessary! Register as a Free Agent and we will work with registered teams who fall short of the required 17 team members to get you hooked up with a team.
New Spirit Award
This year we’ll be recognizing the team that best advances support for the Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival through social media.

To have a chance at winning, post on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter about attending this year’s festival, your festival paddling plans, and fundraising and use at least three (or all!) of the following hashtags: #DHVT, #LCDBF, #paddleforcancer, #BCS #breastcancerstrong, #dragonboatfestival, #swag, #swwagon. Posts must include your team name to be counted.
Posts made between May 15 and August 4 will be eligible. We will help you along by posting ideas and challenges on the Festival’s Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/dragonboatfestival) and DHVT’s TikTok (@dragonheartvermont). Content, number of posts, and virality will all be factors we consider.
Keep it clean, keep it fun, and keep up the positive spirit!
Entertainment partnership with Foam Brewers
Our main stage entertainment and beverages will be hosted this year by our neighbors across the street, Foam Brewers.
Even if you’re not otherwise participating in the Festival, join us on Saturday, August 6th at 7:00 p.m. under the Main Tent. This year we’ve teamed up with Foam Brewers to offer our Sunset Party featuring The Medallions, Vermont’s premier/only 70s disco-funk band that’s time traveled in an elevator to the present. Dance music to get your juices flowing. There will be dancing, there will be some fun! $10 cover, free to racers wearing their 2022 Festival t-shirt. Event website.
On Festival Day, The Larkspurs will begin playing at 1:30 p.m. in the Main Tent. They get to share the stage with the racing, so we look forward to hearing their originals and creative covers with a blend of folk, rock, blues, and country.

2022 Artist Print by Linda Oakes Carvalho

Artist’s Statement
A healthcare professional by day, and artist by night, I have been honing my self-taught skills in oils and watercolor for the past several years. The pandemic offered a unique opportunity for me to further develop this talent and embark on the journey of becoming an artist. The incredible beauty that surrounds me, coupled with my passion for story telling through the stroke of a paintbrush, inspires me to share my vision of the world with those who love and collect art.
Based in Saint Albans, I accept commissions, and private showings of my work. Several pieces are available for purchase at the Frame Shoppe and Art Gallery in Saint Albans, and at the Milton Artist Guild, where I am a member. I also host paint and sips at different venues in the Burlington area through the Milton Artist Guild and Sylvia Oblak Studios.
When I am not whiling my time in my studio, I enjoy drawing inspiration from my two vibrant teenagers, gardening, taking long walks in nature and reading salacious novels.
My works can be seen on Facebook at @LOakesCarvalho, and I can be reached at [email protected]
“Great art is the outward expression of an inner life in the artist, and this inner life will result in his personal vision of the world” ~ Edward Hopper
